Shameless self promotion…..

My book, ‘Changing Gear’ is in the top 100 of the Kindle bestselling Travel section. In fact it’s at number 76. I can’t believe it. I was browsing the section last night looking for something to download and there it was. I’m thrilled to bits.

Hello very much enjoyed your book, for all sorts of reasons.Had to stay up half the night finishing it. You are so lucky to have a supportive husband who likes cycling- mine hates it and refuses absolutely to ride, so despite having climbed together for years I had to accept the fact that if I wanted to do it it would have to be on my own. much inspired, like you, by Anne Mustoe, Bettina Selby, Josie Dew, Dervla Murphy and all the other intrepid solo cyclists I set off on my own at least once a year around Europe, and have been met with nothing but kindness and interest. Now fast approaching 60 and I have no intention of giving up for a long time!
I do feel a bit wary of heading East alone though. Bulgaria sounds intriguing..how did you decide to end up there?
Many congratulations on such a well written honest and involving account of your adventure.
    I wish you well,

Thank you so much for your comment. I really appreciate it. I’m glad you enjoyed the book and I think you must be absolutely intrepid to cycle around Europe on your own. You’re right though there are lots of interesting and kind people about. Good travelling. best wishes E x
