Reviving the search for the top 10 books on cycling written by women

I’m having another go at identifying the top 10 books on cycling written by women. So far we’ve had the the following contributions:

A Bike Ride: 12,000 miles around the world. By Anne Mustoe

It’s not about the tapas. By Polly Evans

Wind in my Wheels: Travel Tales from the saddle. By Josie Dew

Any more thoughts?

  1. Personal best: the autobiography by Beryl Burton

Thanks Frank, I’ll check it out.

  3. Do motorcycles count? There’s ‘A perfect vehicle’…

  4. Oohh!! This is a great idea! I’d love to see a list for this, too! Will you collect all responses and give an updated post? Or maybe even a page that stays updated?!

  5. Not sure how to present it yet, just concentrating on getting a list together at the mo. Have you got any recommendations?

You have to include Dervla Murphy -many books but Full Tilt was the beginning.

You’re absolutely right! I’ll put Full Tilt on the list as it was her first one. Thanks for that.
